Starting in 2006, WET has assisted the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County in setting up an ESRI ArcGIS system to manage all of the County’s spatial data. This proved to be a critical resource for tracking Superfund activities and involved assembling data from different sources including paper maps, CAD data, GPS data and existing GIS datasets, and organizing the data into a file geodatabase to be used for ongoing mapping needs. In 2008, an ArcIMS web service was developed using ESRI’s web mapping ADF for Microsoft Visual Studio, which enabled users to access parcel information via the internet. In 2010 this service was updated to an Adobe Flex service using ESRI’s ArcGIS API for Flex. WET currently manages all Superfund data as a contractor to ADLC.
