Water & Environmental Technologies developed and implemented a plan to monitor drinking water quality from domestic wells in a rural area within a Superfund site. The area was not serviced by a municipal water system and there were documented impacts to the ground water resources. The monitoring program included semi-annual, quarterly and monthly monitoring in areas with possible impacts and evaluation of changes in water quality due to seasonality. The work included development of a Sampling and Analysis Plan, identifying and obtaining permission from domestic well users, sampling and data validation, reporting of results to residents and the county government monthly, data evaluation and interpretations which were compiled in a final results report, in addition to multiple public meetings to update residents on the interim and final results. The sampling included over 100 domestic water supply wells and two stock water wells.
