AGRICULTURE MARKET
WET has had an active role in helping farmers, agricultural organizations, and local governments to identify and implement proper environmental management practices
Adequate planning and management often contribute significantly to the prevention or minimization of environmental releases and related events. WET’s design teams also assist ranchers and agriculture producers with infrastructure design solutions related to water supply, irrigation, and waste management, as well as restoration projects to mitigate or prevent damage from livestock or farming practices.
Managing concentrated biosolids has become an increasing concern due to the potential impact on surface water and groundwater in many regions of the United States. As a result, the US EPA has promulgated regulations targeting Concentrated Animal Feedlot Operations (CAFOs), which include dairy farms, poultry ranches, hog farms, egg farms, and other such facilities. WET has gained strong technical experience in managing high-nutrient waste materials.
