SILVER GATE LETTER OF MAP CHANGE
Silver Gate, Montana
WET was hired to prepare a Letter of Map Change application for submission to FEMA for several property owners in Silver Gate, Montana. WET conducted a hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, which included surface water modeling utilizing United States Army Corps of Engineers HEC-RAS and CivilGEO/GeoHECRAS modeling software, to determine the Base Flood Elevation (BFE) for six parcels in total. It was determined that each property owner owned land that was inadvertently placed in the Special Flood Hazard Area and was eligible for removal with the submission of an MT-1 application.
