MERCURY STREET IMPROVEMENTS

The Mercury Street Improvements Project consisted of the rehabilitation of Mercury Street from Shields Avenue to South Arizona Avenue. This rehabilitation includes a total reconstruction of the road cross-section due to poor existing subgrade conditions. Approximately 20,000 square yards of existing concrete sidewalk and asphalt road were removed and replaced. Other upgrades included new stormwater infrastructure, 36 ADA sidewalk laydowns, relocation of an existing fire hydrant to accommodate a new sidewalk, and the repair of an existing vaulted sidewalk. This project was substantially completed at the end of 2022.
