TOWN OF MANHATTAN WATER RIGHTS

WET personnel developed a beneficial use application to permit the use of water for new developments at Manhattan. A key task was the development of a numerical groundwater model used to evaluate potential stream depletions. WET staff prepared a change application to mitigate (by aquifer recharge) the depletions associated with this new water use in a closed basin. Expert testimony was provided at contested hearings.
