WDEQ/LQD began a permit update initiative for large non-coal mine permits in 2005-2006. Under this initiative, the Sheridan Office Land staff was contracted to compile an updated Adjudication File subject to the new standards in 2012, followed by support for transfer of all permits from FMC to Tronox in 2015 and subsequently a full permit transfer in 2017 followed in 2021 with an amendment adding more than 21,000 acres to the permit. All actions except the 2015 transfers included complete turn-key adjudication files.
