    DETAILED ANALYSIS

FEMA operates the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) which establishes requirements for participating communities to reduce the risk of current and future flooding.

Development near water bodies often requires detailed analysis of flood impacts to ensure that both water resources and landowners are protected from the effects of proposed changes to the floodplain.

WET has staff with expertise in dealing with all areas of FEMA regulatory jurisdiction and requirements, including hydrologic and hydraulics (H&H) analysis, field survey, modeling, and CLOMR, LOMR, LOMA submittals. Our staff has completed multiple complex floodplain modeling projects, and we have a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) on staff. Established by the National Association of State Floodplain Managers, a CFM designation certifies that personnel have knowledge and expertise in local, state, federal, and private sector floodplain management requirements.
